I recently gave a lecture on Urban Farming in the Pacific Northwest. Why you ask? Because I have a little Urban Farm. The entire property around the house I rent is my little farm. I have a passion for gardening, among other things. In 2014 I decided to take my game to the next level, building about 600sqft of raised beds and planting all kinds of herbs, flowers, fruits and veggies. Needless to say in the summer of 2015 I ended up with over 150 jars of preserved food, pickles and jams and almost no grocery bill all summer. This year looks to be even better. :-)
